BTEC aims to develop a better understanding of the etiology, outcomes, and prevention of brain tumors (http://epi.grants.cancer.gov/btec/). The 15th annual Brain Tumor Epidemiology Consortium Meeting, hosted by the Austrian Societies of Neuropathology and Neuro-oncology, was held on September 9 - 11, 2014 in Vienna, Austria. The meeting focused on the central role of brain tumor epidemiology within multidisciplinary neuro-oncology. Knowledge of disease incidence, outcomes, as well as risk factors is fundamental to all fields involved in research and treatment of patients with brain tumors; thus, epidemiology constitutes an important link between disciplines, indeed the very hub. This was reflected by the scientific program, which included various sessions linking brain tumor epidemiology with clinical neuro-oncology, tissue-based research, and cancer registration. Renowned experts from Europe and the United States contributed their personal perspectives stimulating further group discussions. Several concrete action plans evolved for the group to move forward until next year's meeting, which will be held at the Mayo Clinic at Rochester, MN, USA. 000127805 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-317$$a317 - Translational cancer research (POF3-317)$$cPOF3-317$$fPOF III$$x0 000127805 588__ $$aDataset connected to PubMed, 000127805 7001_ $$aLau, Ching C$$b1 000127805 7001_ $$aPrayer, Daniela$$b2 000127805 7001_ $$aBauchet, Luc$$b3 000127805 7001_ $$aRosenfeld, Myrna$$b4 000127805 7001_ $$0P:(DE-He78)51bf9ae9cb5771b30c483e5597ef606c$$aCapper, David$$b5$$udkfz 000127805 7001_ $$aFisher, Paul G$$b6 000127805 7001_ $$0P:(DE-He78)4c28e2aade5f44d8eca9dd8e97638ec8$$aKool, Marcel$$b7$$udkfz 000127805 7001_ $$aMüller, Martin$$b8 000127805 7001_ $$aKros, Johan M$$b9 000127805 7001_ $$aKruchko, Carol$$b10 000127805 7001_ $$aWiemels, Joseph$$b11 000127805 7001_ $$aWrensch, Margaret$$b12 000127805 7001_ $$aDanysh, Heather E$$b13 000127805 7001_ $$aZouaoui, Sonia$$b14 000127805 7001_ $$aHeck, Julia E$$b15 000127805 7001_ $$aJohnson, Kimberly J$$b16 000127805 7001_ $$aQi, Xiaoyang$$b17 000127805 7001_ $$aO'Neill, Brian P$$b18 000127805 7001_ $$aAfzal, Samina$$b19 000127805 7001_ $$aScheurer, Michael E$$b20 000127805 7001_ $$aBainbridge, Matthew N$$b21 000127805 7001_ $$aNousome, Darryl$$b22 000127805 7001_ $$aBahassi, El Mustapha$$b23 000127805 7001_ $$aHainfellner, Johannes A$$b24 000127805 7001_ $$aBarnholtz-Sloan, Jill S$$b25 000127805 7001_ $$aConsortium, Brain Tumor Epidemiology$$b26$$eCollaboration Author 000127805 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)2007408-6$$gVol. 34, no. 1$$n1$$p40-46$$tClinical neuropathology$$v34$$x0722-5091$$yNN 000127805 909CO $$ooai:inrepo02.dkfz.de:127805$$pVDB 000127805 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2036810-0$$6P:(DE-He78)51bf9ae9cb5771b30c483e5597ef606c$$aDeutsches Krebsforschungszentrum$$b5$$kDKFZ 000127805 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2036810-0$$6P:(DE-He78)4c28e2aade5f44d8eca9dd8e97638ec8$$aDeutsches Krebsforschungszentrum$$b7$$kDKFZ 000127805 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-317$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF3-310$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF3-300$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF3$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bGesundheit$$lKrebsforschung$$vTranslational cancer research$$x0 000127805 9141_ $$y2015 000127805 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0100$$2StatID$$aJCR$$bCLIN NEUROPATHOL : 2015 000127805 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0200$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bSCOPUS 000127805 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0300$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bMedline 000127805 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0310$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bNCBI Molecular Biology Database 000127805 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0199$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bThomson Reuters Master Journal List 000127805 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0110$$2StatID$$aWoS$$bScience Citation Index 000127805 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0150$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bWeb of Science Core Collection 000127805 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0111$$2StatID$$aWoS$$bScience Citation Index Expanded 000127805 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)1110$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bCurrent Contents - Clinical Medicine 000127805 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)9900$$2StatID$$aIF < 5 000127805 9201_ $$0I:(DE-He78)B062-20160331$$kB062$$lPädiatrische Neuroonkologie$$x0 000127805 9201_ $$0I:(DE-He78)G380-20160331$$kG380$$lKKE Neuropathologie$$x1 000127805 980__ $$ajournal 000127805 980__ $$aVDB 000127805 980__ $$aI:(DE-He78)B062-20160331 000127805 980__ $$aI:(DE-He78)G380-20160331 000127805 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED
