The PmM group is very heterogeneous, which has hardly been taken into account in studies so far.Sociodemographic characteristics of PmM in the NAKO health study (age, sex, time since migration, education) are presented. In addition, it is examined through an example whether migration background is related to the use of cancer screening for colorectal cancer (hemoccult test).Data of the first 101,816 persons of the NAKO were analyzed descriptively and cartographically. The migration background was assigned on the basis of the definition of the Federal Statistical Office, based on nationality, country of birth, year of entry, and country of birth of the parents.Overall, the PmM proportion is 16.0%. The distribution across the 18 study centers varies considerably between 6% (Neubrandenburg) and 33% (Düsseldorf). With 153 countries of origin, most countries are represented in the NAKO. All variables show clear differences between the different regions of origin. In the hemoccult test, persons of Turkish origin (OR = 0.67) and resettlers (OR = 0.60) have a lower participation rate. PmM born in Germany do not differ in this respect from the autochthonous population (OR = 0.99).PmM in the NAKO are a very heterogeneous group. However, due to the sample size, individual subgroups of migrants can be studied separately with respect to region of origin. 000153632 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-313$$a313 - Cancer risk factors and prevention (POF3-313)$$cPOF3-313$$fPOF III$$x0 000153632 588__ $$aDataset connected to CrossRef, PubMed, 000153632 7001_ $$aKeil, Thomas$$b1 000153632 7001_ $$aKrist, Lilian$$b2 000153632 7001_ $$aZeeb, Hajo$$b3 000153632 7001_ $$aDragano, Nico$$b4 000153632 7001_ $$aSchmidt, Börge$$b5 000153632 7001_ $$aAhrens, Wolfgang$$b6 000153632 7001_ $$aBerger, Klaus$$b7 000153632 7001_ $$aCastell, Stefanie$$b8 000153632 7001_ $$aFricke, Julia$$b9 000153632 7001_ $$aFührer, Amand$$b10 000153632 7001_ $$aGastell, Sylvia$$b11 000153632 7001_ $$0P:(DE-He78)e0ac0d57cdb66d87f2d95ae5f6178c1b$$aGreiser, Halina$$b12$$udkfz 000153632 7001_ $$0P:(DE-He78)0311ebf3415e41860b4e2c56fbae6919$$aGuo, Feng$$b13$$udkfz 000153632 7001_ $$aJaeschke, Lina$$b14 000153632 7001_ $$aJochem, Carmen$$b15 000153632 7001_ $$aJöckel, Karl-Heinz$$b16 000153632 7001_ $$0P:(DE-He78)4b2dc91c9d1ac33a1c0e0777d0c1697a$$aKaaks, Rudolf$$b17$$udkfz 000153632 7001_ $$0P:(DE-He78)13aa5fe9d9961c9fd67193befb0dcf88$$aKoch-Gallenkamp, Lena$$b18$$udkfz 000153632 7001_ $$aKrause, Gérard$$b19 000153632 7001_ $$aKuss, Oliver$$b20 000153632 7001_ $$aLegath, Nicole$$b21 000153632 7001_ $$aLeitzmann, Michael$$b22 000153632 7001_ $$aLieb, Wolfgang$$b23 000153632 7001_ $$aMeinke-Franze, Claudia$$b24 000153632 7001_ $$aMeisinger, Christa$$b25 000153632 7001_ $$aMikolajczyk, Rafael$$b26 000153632 7001_ $$aObi, Nadia$$b27 000153632 7001_ $$aPischon, Tobias$$b28 000153632 7001_ $$aSchipf, Sabine$$b29 000153632 7001_ $$aSchmoor, Claudia$$b30 000153632 7001_ $$aSchramm, Sara$$b31 000153632 7001_ $$aSchulze, Matthias B$$b32 000153632 7001_ $$aSowarka, Nicole$$b33 000153632 7001_ $$aWaniek, Sabina$$b34 000153632 7001_ $$aWigmann, Claudia$$b35 000153632 7001_ $$aWillich, Stefan N$$b36 000153632 7001_ $$aBecher, Heiko$$b37 000153632 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)1470303-8$$a10.1007/s00103-020-03097-9$$n3$$p279-289$$tBundesgesundheitsblatt, Gesundheitsforschung, Gesundheitsschutz$$v63$$x1437-1588$$y2020 000153632 909CO $$ooai:inrepo02.dkfz.de:153632$$pVDB 000153632 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2036810-0$$6P:(DE-He78)e0ac0d57cdb66d87f2d95ae5f6178c1b$$aDeutsches Krebsforschungszentrum$$b12$$kDKFZ 000153632 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2036810-0$$6P:(DE-He78)0311ebf3415e41860b4e2c56fbae6919$$aDeutsches Krebsforschungszentrum$$b13$$kDKFZ 000153632 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2036810-0$$6P:(DE-He78)4b2dc91c9d1ac33a1c0e0777d0c1697a$$aDeutsches Krebsforschungszentrum$$b17$$kDKFZ 000153632 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2036810-0$$6P:(DE-He78)13aa5fe9d9961c9fd67193befb0dcf88$$aDeutsches Krebsforschungszentrum$$b18$$kDKFZ 000153632 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-313$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF3-310$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF3-300$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF3$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bGesundheit$$lKrebsforschung$$vCancer risk factors and prevention$$x0 000153632 9141_ $$y2020 000153632 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0420$$2StatID$$aNationallizenz 000153632 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0200$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bSCOPUS 000153632 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0300$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bMedline 000153632 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0100$$2StatID$$aJCR$$bBUNDESGESUNDHEITSBLA : 2017 000153632 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0199$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bClarivate Analytics Master Journal List 000153632 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0111$$2StatID$$aWoS$$bScience Citation Index Expanded 000153632 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0150$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bWeb of Science Core Collection 000153632 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)9900$$2StatID$$aIF < 5 000153632 9201_ $$0I:(DE-He78)C020-20160331$$kC020$$lC020 Epidemiologie von Krebs$$x0 000153632 9201_ $$0I:(DE-He78)C070-20160331$$kC070$$lC070 Klinische Epidemiologie und Alternf.$$x1 000153632 980__ $$ajournal 000153632 980__ $$aVDB 000153632 980__ $$aI:(DE-He78)C020-20160331 000153632 980__ $$aI:(DE-He78)C070-20160331 000153632 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED
