However, due to a number of well-justified concerns and barriers, especially with regards to information privacy, access to real medical records by researchers is often not possible, and indeed not always required. An appealing alternative to the use of real patient data is the employment of a generator for realistic, yet synthetic, EHRs. However, we have identified a number of shortcomings in prior works, especially with regards to the adaptability of the projects to the requirements of the German healthcare system. Based on three case studies, we define a non-exhaustive list of requirements for an ideal generator project that can be used in a wide range of localities and settings, to address and enable future work in this regard. 000168981 536__ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-315$$a315 - Bildgebung und Radioonkologie (POF4-315)$$cPOF4-315$$fPOF IV$$x0 000168981 588__ $$aDataset connected to CrossRef Book Series, PubMed, , Journals: inrepo01.inet.dkfz-heidelberg.de 000168981 650_7 $$2Other$$aRS-EHR 000168981 650_7 $$2Other$$aRealistic Synthetic Electronic Health Records 000168981 650_7 $$2Other$$aRequirements 000168981 650_7 $$2Other$$aSecondary Use 000168981 650_7 $$2Other$$aSynthetic Data 000168981 7001_ $$aUlrich, Hannes$$b1 000168981 7001_ $$aEssenwanger, Andrea$$b2 000168981 7001_ $$0P:(DE-He78)bb77c6a26154ffc5bd3a6c521be5a1e8$$aKiel, Alexander$$b3$$udkfz 000168981 7001_ $$aKock-Schoppenhauer, Ann-Kristin$$b4 000168981 7001_ $$aIngenerf, Josef$$b5 000168981 773__ $$0PERI:(DE-600)1088535-3$$a10.3233/SHTI210122$$p68-72$$tStudies in health technology and informatics$$v281$$x0926-9630$$y2021 000168981 909CO $$ooai:inrepo02.dkfz.de:168981$$pVDB 000168981 9101_ $$0I:(DE-588b)2036810-0$$6P:(DE-He78)bb77c6a26154ffc5bd3a6c521be5a1e8$$aDeutsches Krebsforschungszentrum$$b3$$kDKFZ 000168981 9130_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF3-315$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF3-310$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF3-300$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF3$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bGesundheit$$lKrebsforschung$$vImaging and radiooncology$$x0 000168981 9131_ $$0G:(DE-HGF)POF4-315$$1G:(DE-HGF)POF4-310$$2G:(DE-HGF)POF4-300$$3G:(DE-HGF)POF4$$4G:(DE-HGF)POF$$aDE-HGF$$bGesundheit$$lKrebsforschung$$vBildgebung und Radioonkologie$$x0 000168981 9141_ $$y2021 000168981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0200$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bSCOPUS 000168981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0300$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bMedline 000168981 915__ $$0StatID:(DE-HGF)0310$$2StatID$$aDBCoverage$$bNCBI Molecular Biology Database 000168981 9201_ $$0I:(DE-He78)E260-20160331$$kE260$$lVerbundinformationssysteme$$x0 000168981 980__ $$ajournal 000168981 980__ $$aVDB 000168981 980__ $$abook 000168981 980__ $$aI:(DE-He78)E260-20160331 000168981 980__ $$aUNRESTRICTED
