In addition, the course of visual acuity was analyzed. This retrospective study included 608 patients treated with ruthenium-106 brachytherapy between January 2008 and December 2010 at the Department of Ophthalmology, University Hospital Essen. The follow-up time was 11 years. The occurrence of the radiation-induced complications was analyzed using the Kaplan-Meier method. Cox regression was used for univariate and multivariate risk factor analyses. Hazard ratios were calculated for each variable.Regarding the complications, 34 KW - Humans KW - Uveal Neoplasms: radiotherapy KW - Brachytherapy: adverse effects KW - Brachytherapy: methods KW - Male KW - Female KW - Melanoma: radiotherapy KW - Middle Aged KW - Radiation Injuries: etiology KW - Ruthenium Radioisotopes: therapeutic use KW - Aged KW - Adult KW - Retrospective Studies KW - Treatment Outcome KW - Aged, 80 and over KW - Young Adult KW - Risk Factors KW - Comorbidity KW - Adolescent KW - Vision Disorders: etiology KW - Incidence KW - Prevalence KW - Visual Acuity: radiation effects KW - Ruthenium Radioisotopes (NLM Chemicals) KW - Ruthenium-106 (NLM Chemicals) LB - PUB:(DE-HGF)16 C6 - pmid:38395138 DO - DOI:10.1055/a-2275-5575 UR - https://inrepo02.dkfz.de/record/298919 ER -
