Abstract: In this issue of Cancer Cell, Gudenas et al. reveal that Group 3 medulloblastoma, pineoblastoma, and retinoblastoma converge on a shared tumor-associated photoreceptor signature rooted in transient developmental progenitors. This work reframes these malignancies as diseases of common developmental vulnerability and identifies shared transcriptional dependencies with potential therapeutic relevance.
